The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has opened recruitment for its new advisory body – the CIMSPA Youth Panel.

The CIMSPA Youth Panel is being created to provide the board of trustees with an authentic perspective from young people involved and interested in sport and physical activity. It offers a valuable opportunity for those on the panel to influence the policy and direction of the sector’s chartered professional body.

Applicants don’t have to be CIMSPA members to join the panel nor do they have to be working in sport and physical activity. CIMSPA is keen to recruit candidates who are  passionate about the power of sport and physical activity to encourage an active nation and support great careers within the sector.

Malcolm McPhail, the CIMSPA trustee leading the panel’s launch commented:

“We’re excited to be opening recruitment for the CIMSPA Youth Panel. Our ambition is a vocal, diverse group that can inform our policies and help us stay true to CIMSPA’s mission of representing the whole of the sport and physical activity sector.

“We want this panel to be diverse in every sense - gender, ethnicity, location, education background and job experience and to include students, employees, apprentices, volunteers, athletes and spectators. This is a real chance for young people to have a say in the future of our sector and more importantly, their own futures.”

The panel is open to 16-25 year-olds and application is via a simple web form.
