The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has opened recruitment for two new Audit and Probity Committee members.
The Audit and Probity committee are an advisory committee to CIMSPA’s Board of Trustees and are responsible for ensuring appropriate procedures are in place for the proper governance of, and mitigation of, risk within CIMSPA.
The committee also undertakes work relating to the adequacy of CIMSPA’s financial reporting and internal controls and offers two volunteers the valuable opportunity to be actively involved in the governance, policy and direction of the sport and physical activity sector’s chartered professional body.
The audit and probity committee will review, monitor and assure CIMSPA’s adherence to the law, regulatory standards, related governance and company policy. They will also identify where systems are not operating correctly and supply recommendations for improvement. In all of their duties, the audit and probity committee will operate with strong moral principles, honesty and decency.
We are keen to recruit candidates with experience in finance and law and skills in audit and risk management.
Our ambition is to have diverse and passionate committees that will help CIMSPA to further professionalise, guide and regulate the sector.
