‘Fit Got Real’: Sport England launch new This Girl Can phase

CIMSPA are delighted to announce that Sport England has launched a new phase of its award winning campaign ‘This Girl Can’ – Fit Got Real.

Aiming to build on the success and achievements of the campaign so far, this new phase focuses on reaching out to women of backgrounds and ethnicities who feel left behind by traditional exercise and that tend to be less active.

Fit Got Real features real women who have found innovative ways to fit exercise into their lives in ways that work for and with their lifestyle, commitments and busy schedules. The campaign aims to help the participation issue within the sport and physical activity sector be reaching out to women aged 14 to 60 who may be less active due to a variety of factors.

Participation diversity is something that CIMSPA and our sector are actively striving to achieve, and Sport England and This Girl Can have provided opportunities for you and your organisation to reach out and get involved.

CIMSPA are encouraging sport and physical activity service providers to sign up as a supporter of the campaign to access marketing resources at the This Girl Can website.

Cross-branded marketing collateral including leaflets, flyers and posters etc can also be made using the templates provided for the promotion of events relating to Fit Got Real that target women and girls.

There are also detailed statistics, studies and resources available that track campaign progress, as well as providing a ‘big picture’ view of participation in the sector; showing where you and your organisation can make changes to increase participation diversity.
