The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) are excited to have begun a wider consultation on the forthcoming professional standard Strength and Conditioning Trainer.

The Strength and Conditioning Trainer Professional Standard has been developed in partnership with the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA).

CIMSPA is seeking general feedback on the standard’s content from individuals and organisations within the sector - especially those with expertise in this area.

Employers will then have a single point of reference to standardise the recruitment, training and professional development of those working in this specialist role. The rollout of the finished standard will take place early next year.

The draft Strength and Conditioning Trainer Professional Standard can be downloaded at the link below. The same link is also the gateway into the consultation questionnaire.

The consultation will be open until Monday 5 October.
