The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) has opened recruitment for two new advisory bodies - the CIMSPA Membership Committee and the CIMSPA Disciplinary Committee.
These committees have been set up to advise the CIMSPA Board of Trustees on matters of governance and offer a valuable opportunity for members to be actively involved in the policy and direction of the sector’s chartered professional body.
The CIMSPA Disciplinary Committee’s role is to consider the outcomes of investigations carried out by the CIMSPA executive into the actions of CIMSPA members and partners and essentially to professionalise, evaluate and impose corrective practices and sanctions where appropriate.
The CIMSPA Membership Committee is responsible for ensuring that the rules for chartered membership entry are defined, applied and adhered to in line with the CIMSPA royal charter and statutes.
We are keen to recruit candidates with a range of sector experience in the sector, relevant to each committee’s work. Applicants must be CIMSPA members* in order to sit on either committee.
Our ambition is to have diverse and passionate committees that will help CIMSPA to further professionalise, guide and regulate the sector.
