CIMSPA board of trustees recruitment
Our board of trustees has the executive responsibility for governing the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.
We are now recruiting two new trustees to the board from CIMSPA’s membership, via an election. Any CIMSPA member* can nominate themselves as a candidate for this election, subject to qualifying criteria.
Trustees act as “champions” of CIMSPA and lead the overall strategic work of the organisation, ensuring that CIMSPA realises its vision, mission and values and advances its charitable purposes. Trustees have an equal responsibility for decisions made by the board.
Board trustees are expected to attend several face-to-face meetings per year (normally 5). The role is unpaid, but travel and subsistence costs are paid.
The election will start in the third week of August 2018, and the results will be announced at the institute’s annual general meeting on 18 September 2018. Member categories eligible to vote in the election are listed below.
